  1. Inventory – Though the inventory is slowly moving back to normal, there is still a homes on the market. The market is great for buyers to find the right house for a great price.
  2. Interest Rates – Interest rates are still at an unprecedented low. Though mortgage qualification standards have become stricter, if you are in the position to have a down payment and qualify for a loan, you can get a remarkably low, fixed rate mortgage when buying a home.
  3. Incentives – Some incentives are still available for first-time homebuyers, builders sometimes will offer discounts as they try to build on the lots that have remained vacant for months if not years, and tax breaks for homeowners, you will find that there are many financial incentives to buying a home this year.

Real estate transactions involve one of the biggest financial investments most people experience in their lifetime. Real Estate transactions today usually exceed $100,000. Think of it this way, if you had a $100,000 income tax problem, would you attempt to deal with it without the help of a CPA or say you had a $100,000 legal question, would you deal with this question without the help of an attorney? In my opinion considering the small upside cost and the large downside risk, it would be foolish to consider a deal in real estate without the professional assistance of an experienced REALTOR®.
