Eagle Community Real Estate Information

Eagle is located 10 miles west of downtown Boise in Ada County.  It is bordered by Boise on the east, Garden City on the southeast, and Meridian on the south and is located 30 miles east of the Idaho-Oregon state line.

The city of Eagle has a rich history, starting when it was first recognized as a village in 1904.   Since then, Eagle has rapidly evolved into one of the best places in Idaho to live, work, shop, and play.

Once a small, rural community, Eagle is now a thriving vibrant city with quality amenities and a business-friendly environment.  Residents of Eagle are active in local activities and passionate about community events.

The Eagle Chamber Orchestra is a community based program that was started over twenty years ago.  Local students and adults join together to form a professional orchestra that performs traditional concerts for the public on a regular basis.  The orchestra also plays for corporate functions and private organizations on occasion.

Eagle’s residents also enjoy outdoor events.  Strategically placed between the Boise foothills and the Boise River, Eagle is alive with opportunities for horse back riding, walking, biking, and enjoying water sports.

The city has several beautiful parks where families gather to picnic and play.  Arboretum Park, Friendship Park, Orval Krassan Park, Merrill Park, Guerber, and Eagle-Ada parks each offer their own variety of recreation.  Eagle-Ada Park is still undergoing development, with construction of a world-class cycling facility in the works.  Eagle Island State Park offers 500 acres of riding trails on the city’s western end.

Residents of Eagle also enjoy golfing at Eagle Hills Golf Course and Banbury Golf Course, both inside the city limits.  Three other courses are in close proximity to Eagle, where golfers feel right at home.

Eagle is known throughout Idaho as a family oriented community.  Families are drawn to Eagle during annual events such as the Eagle Fun Days Festival and the Wet and Wild Parade.

Eagle’s close proximity to metropolitan Boise offers a climate of country living with the cultural opportunities of the state’s largest city.  This combination of community and city living makes Eagle a unique and enjoyable place to live.
