Nampa Real Estate

Working with real estate in the Nampa area is a pleasure. I am constantly amazed at the properties that are available. Regardless of what you are looking for, you can find it in this area of Idaho. If you are looking for a larger home, you will find an inventory of properties at more than 4,000 square feet for less than $600,000. Some may even have a view of the golf course at Hunter's Point. There are other options, too, of course. If your budget is a bit lower, you can find relatively new homes with beautiful kitchens and well-designed master suites. And, if you want to spend less than $200,000, there are options for you as well. These homes are in quiet areas of well-established neighborhoods. Therefore, Nampa real estate features a great selection of homes that fit within all price ranges.

Nampa is very close to Boise. It has the distinction of being the second largest city in the state. Nearly 80,000 people call the city home, and it has a rich history. It started as a railway town in the late 1800s. The railroad station, which was incredible in his heyday, has been redone and is now the historical museum of Canyon County.

If you enjoy the outdoors, you will be pleased to note that there are 20 city parks in Nampa. There are soccer fields, walking trails, and even lakes that are perfect for boating and fishing. There are also two golf courses that the public can enjoy. The recreation center in Nampa houses five swimming pools, an indoor track, basketball courts, a climbing wall and even a spa! The Brand Center is a performance auditorium that seats 1,500 people and there is also the Idaho Center Complex and an outdoor Amphitheater. There is no shortage of activities in Nampa, Idaho!

Nampa residents and visitors can also enjoy everything that the mountains have to offer, including skiing, snowboarding, white water rafting and hiking. There is also a winery in the Sunny Slope area that has jazz concerts when the weather warms up.

Many buyers are interested in the local school system, not only for their own families, but also because the schools in the area affect resale value. The Nampa school system is second to none. There are four high schools, six middle schools and sixteen elementary schools. Northwest Nazarene University also calls Nampa home. This liberal arts school hosts just under 1500 students. In addition, those looking for additional education after high school have the option of applying to the Canyon County Campus of Boise State University.
